This combined love for craft, working with her hands, and music led Julie to pursue piano technology where she found the perfect combination of interests to focus and elate her. ![]() Calligraphy, knitting, cleaning anything and everything, and tackling any fix-it jobs around the house keep her curious mind fixated on the things directly around her. While music keeps Julie fascinated, working with her hands calms and solidifies her nature. After recently honing her vocals in a month-intensive singing course with former judge on The Voice, Stevie Mackey, Julie is in the beginning stages of recording her first original album. After recording her first full album with a band in 2014, Julie got the unshakeable desire to pursue singing and performance which eventually brought her to New York City in 2019. School opened up many opportunities for vocal performance, both in musical theatre and bands, and eventually Julie was emboldened to try her hand at song-writing. She sang in choirs from elementary school through college where she received her Bachelor’s in Literature from Grove City in 2014. While recording song covers and “audiobooks” on her boombox microphone kept her entertained at a young age, Julie finally graduated to piano and violin lessons throughout elementary and high school. Raised by a mother who loves literature and music and a father who loves philosophy and science, Julie merged a proclivity for music with a curiosity for how objects work, along with a do-it-yourself gumption. back to namesīorn and raised in Lancaster, PA, Julie’s childhood was informed by music holding parlance with practical problem-solving and mechanics. in Music Composition from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. When not servicing pianos, Isaac further explores the musical universe via music composition and production, providing piano mentorship, and playing live piano/keyboards. Isaac is equal parts idealist and realist, enjoys the beauty and mystery of life, and loves spending quality time with family and friends. There are fewer than 2,500 RPTs worldwide. It is the only official certification available to a piano technician in the US, and is nationally recognized. This honor and certification is bestowed by the Piano Technician's Guild, a national organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards in piano technology. Eathan Janney, PhD, RPT in the Floating Piano Factory Apprenticeship Program, from which he was the first student to graduate with the official certification of Registered Piano Technician (RPT). Isaac established himself in the field of piano technology over the course of four years of mentorship with Piano Technician Dr. He was fortunate to accrue extensive experience via years of servicing pianos throughout the five boroughs of New York City, working with Steinway New York as an authorized field technician, serving in the Piano Technicians Guild, and receiving mentorship from a number of excellent piano technicians and inspiring human beings. Currently, Isaac divides his time between our Tucson and Brooklyn operations, servicing pianos in both locations and offering business management to the technicians who work with us. ![]() Hailing from a family of musicians, scientists and entrepreneurs, Isaac is grateful to serve in a capacity that weaves these threads together in a richly rewarding vocation.
